-I put out a newsletter in early 2020 (March) trying to bring calm and recommendations in "unprecedented" times. Looking back, those commonsense suggestions were quite reasonable and hopefully helpful. I certainly worked with a LOT of covid over the past 3 years and learned a LOT.
Here's a few things I think we could all learn from navigating a challenging time full of disparate information and a lot of division:
-communities function best when strong and together
-people need people
-the health status of the body is much more important than the bug that is circulating
-occasionally we are going to get each other sick (this is not a bad thing unless great risk exists)
-sick people need EARLY access to care...at risk people NEED CARE immediately.
-treating the individual (herbs, homeopathy, food, etc) based on unique presentation is truly AMAZING
-stay home when sick (symptoms are your body's language requesting help, rest, attention)...I hope we REALLY got this one now.
-well people that feel great, look sparkly and have vitality really are well. Making healthy people seem dangerous was, well, dangerous for society. (I could write for days on symptoms and viral load).
-masks divided and harmed us WAY more than they helped...sorry, this is not based on opinion but data (I reviewed all existing literature BEFORE, during and after) and it was clear all along the limitations of this intervention
-personal health decisions are private and should stay that way
-true health and resilience simply does not fit inside of a syringe
-segregation has always been a bad thing
-we are stronger together
-trust your neighbor more than media, corporations or political entities...they tend to have bias don't they?
-love your neighbor
